Midco CMO Named to Prairie Business Magazine's Top 25 Women in Business

March 1, 2017 – Sioux Falls, SD: Midco Chief Marketing Officer Trish McCann has been named as one of Prairie Business Magazine’s Top 25 Women in Business. Each year, the magazine selects a group of women who show exemplary leadership, motivation, ambition and talent at work, at home and in their communities.

“Trish is talented in empowering, rewarding, developing and recognizing employees for their own personal and professional growth – and how those achievements support company goals,” said Steve Grosser, Midco EVP and CFO. “Her strong mentorship has helped her team members advance their careers. She supports them, challenges them and helps them find opportunities.”

McCann joined Midco at a defining time. In 2001, the company was shifting its focus from being a regional, residential cable company to providing cable, phone and internet for both residential and business customers. Fast forward to today and McCann is a pivotal member of Midco’s executive team. Most recently, she led the company as it updated its brand to Midco, and she will be a key contributor in expanding Midco’s service to Lawrence, KS.

As CMO, McCann manages public relations, marketing and communications for Midco’s residential and business services, as well as Midco Sports Network®. She is also responsible for residential sales, including the company’s 12 Customer Experience Centers located throughout SD, ND and MN.

McCann is a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls, a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications and serves on the national Marketing Co-op Board for the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing. She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from South Dakota State University in Brookings. McCann currently serves on the board of directors for The Compass Center, a Sioux Falls non-profit providing counseling, advocacy and intervention services to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
