Midcontinent Communications Wins National Awards for Workplace Diversity

June 12, 2014 - Sioux Falls, SD: Midcontinent Communications was recently recognized for workforce diversity at an annual signature luncheon by Women in Cable Telecommunications and the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications, commonly referred to as WICT and NAMIC.

WICT presented the company with one of its Best Company for Women in Cable awards. Midcontinent was selected based on the results of a survey WICT conducted last year that measures pay equity, advancement opportunities and resources for work/life integration.

NAMIC has declared Midcontinent a 2013 Top Company for People of Color, based upon findings of their joint NAMIC/WICT Cable Telecommunications Workforce Diversity Survey.

Debbie Stang, Midcontinent’s Vice President of Human Resources, accepted the WICT award. “I am personally proud of our continued commitment to the development of a workforce that promotes respect and integrity for all individuals, whether they are our employees, customers or industry partners,” said Stang.  “Wherever we do business, our objective is to seek out and hire talented, dedicated employees from all walks of life and give them the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.”

Midcontinent is currently hiring throughout Minnesota and the Dakotas in a wide range of fields. A complete list of available positions is posted on the company’s website: www.Midco.com/Careers
