Midcontinent Donates Turkeys to Dickinson Food Pantry

Dickinson, ND: Midcontinent Communications® recently donated 50 turkeys to the Amen Food Pantry in Dickinson to support families in need during the holiday season.

“We value giving back to the communities we serve,” said Justin Forde, Director of Public Affairs for Midcontinent. “Providing turkeys to people in need in time for Thanksgiving is one way we can say thank you to Dickinson for their support throughout the past year.”

Last month, the Amen Food Pantry gave 14,682 pounds of food to people in need, said Manager Susie Kapelovitz. They could have given out even more food. “That was in a month when we weren’t even open two Saturdays,” noted Kapelovitz.

The Amen Food Pantry distributed the turkeys to the public on Tuesday, November 24. Turkeys were stored in a refrigerated trailer donated by Martin Refrigeration.

“We hope this gift is a blessing to families in need,” said Forde. “As Midcontinent continues to grow in Dickinson, we hope to find more ways to serve and support this wonderful community and charitable organizations like Amen Food Pantry.”

Amen Food Pantry accepts donations of food, hygiene supplies or money throughout the year. Donations can be dropped off on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4 pm at Amen Food Pantry, 1100 3rd Avenue W., Dickinson. Cash donations can be mailed to Amen Food Pantry, PO Box 1231, Dickinson, ND 58602.
