Midco Sports Network to Launch Midco Sports Tonight

August 1, 2017 – Sioux Falls, SD: Midco Sports Network® will unveil a new, one-hour show called Midco Sports Tonight on Monday, August 28. Midco Sports Tonight will air Monday through Friday at 6 PM throughout Midco’s footprint. Connection and bringing fans closer to their favorite prep and collegiate teams is at the heart of Midco Sports Tonight, which will provide in-depth analysis, long-form storytelling and timely highlights.

Kelly Stewart will host Midco Sports Tonight. Stewart joined MidcoSN® in 2016, reporting on the University of South Dakota sports teams and providing analysis. As a USD basketball player, Stewart was an integral part of the Coyotes WNIT championship team in 2016.

“I couldn't be more excited for Midco Sports Tonight. Every weeknight, we’ll bring viewers even more access to their favorite teams, working in tandem with our live coverage,” said Stewart. “Our MidcoSN talent is some of the best in the business. They will not only provide great analysis and insight, but will also keep viewers entertained with plenty of personality.”

Jason Andera will produce Midco Sports Tonight. Andera has been a fixture on the South Dakota sports scene since 1999 and is known for his high school football knowledge. He’ll continue to contribute to Varsity Sports LIVE, MidcoSN’s Friday night prep football show.

“This show will complement our live coverage with timely interviews with coaches, players and media members as well as highlight the great talent we have right here at MidcoSN,” said Andera. “Get ready for an entertaining hour that will stand alone as the most comprehensive regional sports coverage, with Kelly Stewart driving the show.”

In preparation for Midco Sports Tonight, a new, interactive set is being installed at MidcoSN’s central studio in Sioux Falls.
