Our Midco technicians are pros in helping customers create a smart, safe and secure home. When you order Midco SmartHOME, we’ll professionally install your security system, and help you assess your home for any additional equipment needs and placement – so you don’t have to worry about connecting things on your own.
Our professional installation doesn’t stop there. We’ll also train you on how to use your in-home touchscreen and the Midco SmartHOME app to monitor and control your security system.
Adding More Equipment
We also have a self-installation option for LED smart bulbs, outlet controls and SD cards. We'll ship them straight to your door. Then, follow the included instructions to pair your new equipment to your home security system.

It’s easy to connect your Midco SmartHOME devices to the Alexa app. Then, you can ask Alexa to turn on your lights or change the temperature in your home.
Frequently Asked Questions
Installation for Midco SmartHOME is $100 – whether you’re installing just our home security service or if you’re also installing internet, cable TV and home phone. However, if you add on $500 or more in equipment to your home security system, we waive installation fees.
Midco SmartHOME has you covered. If your internet goes down, the system automatically converts to rely on cellular signal. If your power goes out, the touchscreen goes into low power mode, using its battery backup.
We ship any equipment you order directly to your door, so it’s there when our technician arrives to install the security system. Our expert technicians will install your system, help you add new products or remove any devices you don’t need, and train you on how to use your system, including the touchscreen and app.6
Our expert technician installing your system will educate you on your system, as well as provide recommendations for additional equipment you may want. You can add on more equipment during installation.
If you are an existing Midco SmartHOME customer, you can self-install LED smart bulbs, SD cards and outlet controls. Just call 1.800.888.1300 or visit a Customer Experience Center to order, and we'll ship them directly to your door. Then add your SD card to your touchscreen or, if you ordered a smart bulb or outlet control, see how to pair your new equipment.
If you are a new Midco SmartHOME customer or want to add new equipment other than smart bulbs, SD cards or outlet controls, a Midco technician will need to install your new equipment.
No. At this time, only smart bulbs, outlet controls and thermostats work with Amazon Alexa.

1 Certain equipment may be limited by local ordinance or dwelling. Equipment and features that include arming/disarming and alerting of emergency services require professionally monitored service. Midco SmartHOME requires Midco Internet 50 service or higher. The Midco SmartHOME app and Subscriber Portal are not accessible from all countries outside of the United States. Customer is liable for damaged or stolen equipment, and for false alarms. False alarm ordinances may apply. Contact your local municipality for more information. Some municipal ordinances may restrict smoke alarm installation. Cellular signal strength may affect system performance. Service is provided under Terms and Conditions at Midco.com/Legal.
2 Extended payment period (12 months) is available for Midco SmartHOME equipment for new customers. If customer cancels prior to the payment period ending, they will be responsible for any remaining balance upon disconnect and for returning any leased equipment.
3 Touchscreen lease cost ($5/mo.) is included in package cost. Touchscreen must be returned to Midco if contract is canceled. Customer is liable for damaged or stolen equipment.
