What happens if my alarm is triggered?

  • Premier or Basic Package customers – When your alarm system activates, a signal is sent to our monitoring facility via your internet connection or the cellular backup connection. A trained operator will attempt to contact you and/or your specified emergency contacts list, using the phone numbers you provided. If the operator cannot reach you or emergency contacts according to your instructions, we'll automatically make a call on your behalf to local emergency services.
  • Control or Essentials Package customers – Because your system is self-monitored and not professionally monitored, there is no formal alarm to a monitoring center. A monitoring center does not alert you, your emergency contacts or emergency services. Instead, Midco SmartHOMETM will automatically trigger any alerts you configured. For example, you can set up an alert to send a text message to yourself, your spouse and your next door neighbor if water is detected in your basement.
