PPV Movies & Events

Your Midco cable TV package includes the option to add on pay-per-view (PPV) programming – so you can watch the top men and women in mixed martial arts (MMA), professional boxing, WWE and more.1

Equipment Requirements: PPV is available with TiVo® DVR, standard Midco DVR, HD digital receiver or digital receiver – but is not available on HD digital adapters, digital adapters and CableCARDs (even if used with compatible equipment, such as TiVo and CableCARD combination).

  • We recommend that you order PPV at least 15 minutes in advance of an event to ensure you don’t miss the program.
  • When ordering, choose SD, HD or Spanish (if available). Each format appears on a different channel. Changing to a different version after you’ve ordered one version (from SD to the HD version, for example) will add additional charges.
  • Make sure your account is current (not past due) to enjoy your PPV event.

You can record some PPV events. Due to copyright restrictions, you can view most PPV events for only 90 minutes past the scheduled end time.

You can order PPV directly through the Midco My Account app1, your TiVo® DVR, Midco DVR or digital receiver. You can also reach out to us via live chat or by calling 1.800.888.1300 to order PPV events.

  • If you order through your Midco cable equipment, you’ll watch the event on the TV connected to that specific cable equipment. If you want to watch it on another TV in your home, order the same channel on that other TV. Your account will only be billed once.
  • If you order by live chat or phone, you can watch the event on all TVs connected to the proper Midco equipment.
  • If you ordered a PPV program, but missed it, you won't be charged for the order – unless you tune in to it or set up a DVR recording.

You can order select PPV events through the Midco My Account app only before the event begins.

  1. In the Midco My Account app, tap the Midco logo.
  2. Tap Cable TV, and then Pay-Per-View Events.
  3. Browse the available events, which display date, time and cost for high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) video formats.
  4. To place order, select either Order HD or Order SD.
  5. On the confirmation pop-up, review the cost information and tap OK to make the purchase. After you've placed the order, the event listing in the app will show the event order, time, video format and channel.

Don't forget to set yourself a reminder so you know when to start watching the PPV event.

If you ordered a PPV program, but missed it, you won't be charged for the order – unless you tune in to it or set up a DVR recording.

Businesses can order PPV sporting events, but are not eligible to order PPV movies.

  1. Contact Midco at 1.800.888.1300 to confirm promoter information for the event that interests you. Promoters can vary per event.
  2. Contact the promoter to place your order at least 10 days prior to the event date.
    • Your fire occupancy and other information may be required to place your order. If your business is a public-view establishment, pricing will vary based on your fire occupancy (how many people could potentially watch the event in your business).
    • You will pay the promoter’s fee.
  3. The promoter will contact Midco to inform us of your order. A one-time charge to Midco will appear on your next monthly statement.
  4. Our support team will contact you the day of the event to make sure you can access the event.

In certain situations, you can record a PPV event. Your access to the recording varies by timing and your cable TV equipment. Also, if you order a PPV program, but missed it, you won't be charged for the order – unless you tune into to it or set up a DVR recording.

TiVo DVRs

TiVo DVRs set up the recording when you select the PPV order through your remote. Be sure to use the Rent and Record option. Due to copyright restrictions, you can view most PPV events for only 90 minutes past the scheduled end time.

Standard DVRs
  • If you have a DVR and want to record the event, be sure to select Record this program when you are ordering via your DVR, so automatic recording begins.
  • If you forget to set up recording when you place your order or if you order PPV by phone, chat or the My Account app, you can press record on your DVR remote when the program begins.

PPV programs recorded on standard (non-TiVo) DVRs are available until you delete the recording.
