Network Upgrades

We look forward to delivering the best in Midco® services to our Kansas customers – including gigabit internet in 2018 and additional cable TV offerings! We’re investing capital to upgrade the network and also need to encrypt signals to make more space on the network for higher-bandwidth services.

  • On March 6, 11 channels transitioned to all-digital format early. On March 20, nine more channels switched.
  • On April 4, all remaining non-digital channels converted. (To see a complete list of Midco cable channels, visit Midco.com/ChannelLineup.)

This means you’ll need a cable box on each TV where you watch cable channels in your home. For a limited time, Midco is providing up to three HD digital adapters free of monthly leasing charges.1

New in Kansas

We’ve invested $8 million in and around Lawrence to boost connectivity and network redundancy – and we’re continually working to enhance reliability. It’s just something we do.

Midco Sports Network®

We’ve commmitted to covering high school sports in northeast Kansas – including live high school games and the launch of the Midco Sports Tonight sportscast. New and Upgraded Services

Kansas customers now have access to TiVo®, more robust cable TV packages and ON Demand choices, and Whole Home Wi-Fi – a solution that extends Wi-Fi signals to all areas of a home.

New Customer Experience Center

We opened a new Customer Experience Center and staff office in Lawrence, designed to empower our Midco team members and provide better customer service. Find us at 2000 W. 31st St. in Suite C

Coming in 2018: Midco Gig

This is a big one – gigabit internet in Kansas is coming in 2018. We can’t wait to bring you this affordable, even-faster internet option (available by cable modem) – which we’ve been launching around our service area throughout 2017.

Giving Back

Each year, Midco team members make a difference in the towns and cities they call home. We want to spread that pride in Kansas, encouraging our employees to volunteer in their communities – giving their time and talent where they really make a difference. 

Last year, Midco gifted $90,000 to the Lawrence Public Library Computer Lab to update its computers and software – knowing that a vibrant public library makes a huge impact in a community. Midco also sponsors many charitable causes, economic development groups and community events across the region.

The Midco Foundation looks to give back by distributing grants to charitable organizations for special projects, facilities improvements, equipment and programs. This past fall, we supported projects like the Kansas United Youth Basketball Program and the Eudora Schools Foundation.

1 For a limited time, Midco will provide you with up to three HD digital adapters at no monthly charge for your home if you order them prior to August 2, 2018. For each additional HD digital adapter in excess of three, the monthly leasing fee is $3. If you currently have HD digital adapters on your account, the fee waiver will appear on your monthly statement. HD digital adapters remain the property of Midco. They must be returned in Midco (normal wear and tear excepted) when cable TV service is no longer provided. If the equipment is not returned to Midco, you will be responsible for the replacement cost of non-returned equipment.
