Midco has signed the FCC's Keep Americans Connected Pledge to ensure people don't lose internet or phone service during the pandemic. We've also compiled a list of local resources to help people in need.
The Midco Foundation has awarded $98,500 to 68 nonprofits, schools and government organizations recognized for creating positive change in their communities. Since 1988, the Foundation has awarded more than $4 million to causes within its service area.
The extension will improve access to critical e-learning applications and health care resources, telecommuting options and more. Midco is looking forwarding to partnering with the city of Scandia on the network extension work beginning summer 2020.
A grant from the state of Minnesota will allow Midco to bring broadband services to 644 unserved homes and 33 unserved businesses, farms and community institutions in Renville, MN. Construction is scheduled to begin summer 2020.
