Midco Expands Fiber Network to Denver, Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience for Business Customers

July 13, 2023 – Sioux Falls, SD: Midco has extended its advanced fiber network to Denver. This expansion enables business customers within Midco’s existing coverage area to access “On-Net” services provided by Denver 910 Telecom colocation data center. It also grants the company connectivity to various networks on the western side of Midco’s infrastructure, enhancing the overall resilience of our network. Even better, we can partner with other companies at Denver 910 Telecom who want to connect with our customers.
By connecting to the Denver 910 Telecom colocation data center, Midco and its customers can access resources more efficiently, specifically to the west of Midco’s network. This expansion means that Midco’s own, fully owned network now connects directly from Rapid City to Denver, increasing efficiency and redundancy.

"Expanding Midco's fiber network to Denver is an exciting milestone in our mission to be the best communication company in the country for our neighbors, team members, partners and communities. This strategic expansion enables Midco and our customers to access resources outside of our network footprint while remaining on the trusted Midco fiber network. This provides us with more opportunities to further grow our transit, peering and CDN networks," said John Lubeck Director of CoreIP & Transport.
VP of Network Engineering Pao Lo said, “This connection will add additional capabilities to deliver a more resilient network; provide our business and wholesale clients with more network paths; and provide the best-in-class customer experience. The Mile High City is definitely a key point of interest for Midco and the communities we serve.”

President Tom McAdaragh said, “This initiative demonstrates Midco’s commitment to providing reliable, high-capacity, low-latency network connectivity to our customers in the Midwest.”
