Midco Foundation Awards 82 Grants, Demonstrating Commitment to Community Service

Sioux Falls, SD - June 22, 2023 –: The Midco Foundation has granted over $113,000 to 82 exceptional nonprofit organizations, schools and government entities across the Midwest. These grants are part of an ongoing commitment to be a force for good in the communities Midco serves.

“The Midco Foundation is committed to supporting the organizations that serve as positive changemakers in their communities,” said Wynne Haakenstad, Executive Director of the Midco Foundation. “These grant recipients represent a wide range of programs aimed at addressing critical issues including combatting food insecurity, fostering arts, music and technology education, empowering schools and providing vital family services.”

Since its inception in 1987, the Midco Foundation has donated over $5.75 million to support the work of nonprofit organizations, local governments and schools.

The Midco Foundation Board reviews and approves funding requests twice a year. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for future grants to support special projects, facility improvements, equipment and programs. Review the eligibility criteria, requirements and application at midco.com/foundation. Applications for the fall 2023 grant cycle will be accepted from June 1 to August 24.
