My Channels Aren't Coming In

Multiple Televisions

If your channels aren't coming in on multiple televisions on your home, it's most likely caused by factors outside of the home, either an area-wide outage or another factor that would interrupt the signal into the home.

Check if there is an outage

Single Television

Many times this issue can be caused by an input selection on the television or a signal interruption to your Midco equipment.

  1. If you have more than one television in your home, confirm your services are working properly on the other television(s).
  2. Confirm your VCR and/or DVD player are powered off.
  3. Check the wires used to connect your TV to the wall outlet.
    • Tighten loose coaxial cable connections.
    • Replace damaged coaxial cable (cut, crimped, or poor fitting connectors). Contact us or visit your local Customer Experience Center to get a new cable.
  4. Verify the cable box is powered on.
  5. Confirm the proper input is selected on your TV.
    • Using your TV remote control, select INPUT or Source (depending on your TV) to display the input list, or press INPUT/Source on the TV if it’s available).1
    • Depending on your TV, press the INPUT/Source button repeatedly or use the arrow buttons on the remote to select the input type.
  6. Reboot your Midco cable box. This will help reestablish a connection between the cable signal and the equipment.
  7. Contact us if these steps do not restore the connection.

1 Televisions offer the ability to connect multiple external media devices (DVD, cable, etc.) through inputs (HDMI, video, etc.) located on the rear of the TV. Not all TVs are equipped with the same number and/or types of inputs. The input connections on the rear of the TV correspond to selectable inputs you will choose after turning on the TV and device. When a device is properly connected, powered on and streaming content, the TV must be on the corresponding input for that device to be able to show the desired content. When you first power on the TV or switch to a different input, the input may be displayed in the corner.
